Friends:

Growing up I had the same group of friends through elementary school... middle school... and high school.  Throughout the years some moved away and we added a few more to the group. But we all stayed in touch for the most part. We did everything together.  In middle school our Friday nights usually consisted of walking to Pollies  and getting penny candy. And then we went to Laurens house. High school we all did different clubs and activities. But we still got together and hung out in Laurens basement.

Recently I got the chance to go to dinner with my group of friends I grew up with. It was so much fun! It was so good to see them all again. We were talking about it, and the last time we all were together was in the 8th grade when our friend Andrea moved away. Since then we have all grown up. Three of us are married. Two of which have two adorable babies. We were talking about grown up things, like building houses and our jobs. When last time we were all together we were prank calling our crushes. I love us.

Random Post

Well... Last week I started my new job. So far so good. I really like it. It is exactly what I want. I can't wait to move so I can be closer to my job. Usually it takes me 45 min to get to work. But the other day it took me over a hour to get there because of traffic! So not cool. I am sure I made a great impression on my boss being late my second day of work. I just hate starting new jobs and learning new things. I hope I get the hang of it. For the most part I feel like I am. However, there is still a lot of things that will take time.

Moving on... general conference.  Was that not amazing? I was so excited to listen to conference for some reason. More than usual. I would hear a talk and think, "wow, that is my favorite talk." Then I would hear another talk and think, "wow, that is my favorite talk." They were all so meant for me. I was like on a high from listening to conference. I can't believe the whole mission thing. I can't help but wonder if I would have gone on a mission when I was 19 if that was the age for sister missionaries back then. I am just so excited for Nick and I to go on a mission when we get older.

That is basically it for now.

Blue Angels

Nick grew up close to Hill Air Force Base. And he became obsessed with airplanes, jets, and helicopters. Ever since I have known him he has wanted to go to see the Blue Angels fly. Well a couple of Saturdays ago his dreams came true. We went with his family to Grand Junction to watch them fly.

He was like a little boy on Christmas. He couldn't keep his eyes off the sky. Even when we were walking around the air show he was walking with his head up looking at the sky. It was really hot in Grand Junction. Alex and I wanted to sit down in the shade to watch the show but Nick stood right in front.

Not only did we get to go to the show but we got to see Nicks sister and her two kids that we haven't seen in a long time because they moved to Colorado. It is amazing how fast kids grow up.  It was fun getting to hangout with them. We also went to Nemo 3D.

I am glad Nick got to see the Blue Angels fly. I am not going to lie, it was pretty cool. Now Nick wants to watch the Thunder Birds...
