Pasta And More Pasta....

Here is the deal... when Nick and I got married he still had a bunch of food so we didn't go grocery shopping. He made this rule that we couldn't go until all our food was gone. And he meant all. Then his mom came to visit and with the visit she brought us grocery's. We were almost out of food just eating pasta when his grandparents came to visit and brought us food. Eventually we were down to just pasta.  Finally last week four months after being married we went shopping for our first time. I was excited because that meant no more cooking just pasta!!! Thanks to my friends blog howetocook.blogspot.com I had a few ideas of what I wanted to get. I have been so happy having options of what to cook for dinner. The first night of real food I made chicken and potatoes stuff. I got the recipe from my friends blog. It was sooo yummy. And it was easy because I only cook easy things. I was so happy to be cooking things other than pasta a took a picture. You know you are pathetic when you do things like this haha. Anyway for dinner tonight I am making rolls and well.... pasta. I know what you are thinking but I want to get rid of it as fast as I can this time.

Thanksgiving!!

I love Thanksgiving. I love being able to express your gratitude about everything without people thinking anything of it. I have so much to be grateful for. I am go grateful that I get the opportunity to get an education. So many people don't get that chance. I am grateful I have a job. I am grateful for a house to live in and a nice cozy bed to sleep in. I am grateful for my seriously amazing family. I am grateful I married into the family I did. I am grateful for Nick. I don't know what I would do without him as cliche as that might sound. He is my best friend and he keeps me sane. I am grateful for all my friends. They make me so happy. I am grateful for the church. I would be lost without it. Oh geez the list could go on and on. I have so much to be grateful for.

This Thanksgiving break was awesome. Tuesday work and school got canceled for Nick and I because of the blizzard. So we beat the storm to Bountiful. We hung out with his family and watched movies and ate tons!! Then the next day we went to the Jazz game. It was awesome. I love the Jazz epically when they win. Then the next morning we went back to Ephraim. We hung out with my whole family all 23 of us. We ate tons of food, played tons of games and drank a lot of tasties. It was so much fun. Then on Saturday Nick and I decorated our Christmas tree. I had so much fun! I wish every weekend could be like that. I am one lucky lucky girl.

Steve and Natalie....

About a month ago my mom showed Nick and I a picture of this girl (Natalie) Steve went on a date with... the rest is history. Yesterday I got a call from Steve and he needed my help to propose to Natalie. So I babysat Calvin so Jill could go buy the roses. Then I hid the roses in the front room so Natalie wouldn't see them until she was supposed to. Then Natalie came over and I was told to keep her busy so Steve could sneak home and shower before he popped the question. So we went and got tasties. When we back to my parents home Steve was there. I could tell he was excited he had a big smile. He took Natalie in the other room while Kierst and I tried to keep Will quite so we could hear. Next thing I know I hear Natalie scream. February 8th is the big day. I am so happy for my big brother. He can be a little rough around the edges but he is one of the nicest guys I know with a huge heart. I was happy I got to be a part of their proposal

Fall Drive

Nick and I really wanted to go up in the canyon and see all the leaves and enjoy the fall. Of course the only day we could do it is when the weather wasn't the greatest and hunters were everywhere. But we still had fun. We even saw snow!! However, now our car is really dirty. Oh well it was so pretty! I love the fall!

SLEEPOVER!!

Last weekend our nephews and niece came over to our house for a sleepover. We had so much fun. I heard the mini van pull up and then I heard Matt screaming. I looked out the window and saw all the kids running to the door. Once they got inside Ashton informed us that me and Nick are rich... (if only). First things first.... the rules. We told them they couldn't jump on any furniture or they had to go home... and they actually listened to us! Then we played some High School Musical UNO. Ashton had never played UNO before, so we were easy on him. Matt and Katie on other hand knew all the rules. They were so funny. While we were playing Will was laying on the air mattress saying stuff like, "Lets watch some TV guys." "I want a tastey." "This house is so big" etc. He is so funny. After Nick won UNO we popped popcorn and watched a movie. The Kids were so excited because they got to rent a movie to bring. They rented  Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Lighting Thief. I must admit it was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. I could always tell when Ashton or Will got scared... they would come and sit by me and Nick and Ashton would clench his teeth. After the movie Nick went off to work. Willy fell asleep like right after. I think the only reason he stayed awake that long is to hangout with his best friend Nicky. Katie asked what was for breakfast. I Told her pancakes. They all screamed. Katie then said, "I love you guys!" Ashton said, "I love you guys too!" They were so excited. Then we just watched some Wizards of Waverly Place. The kids were all laughing their heads off. Soon Ashton was asleep too. I had to turn off the TV in order for Matt and Katie to fall asleep. At 7:30 am I heard Will saying good morning to everyone. It was so cute. Then he came into my bedroom saying. "Kellie wake up, you have been sleeping all morning." Then I heard they rest of the kids screaming "PANCAKES!" over and over. But I just laid in bed waiting for Nick to come home. When Nick got home he made the pancakes while I just laid in bed. The kids loved them. Then we played a couple more games of UNO until their dad came to pick them up. Will asked Nick before he left, "Can we do this again?" Nick said, "yeah." then Will said, "Ok I will see you tonight then." He is too cute!! It has only been a week since our sleepover but Nick is already planning the next one.

Smelly Dish

The other day our landlord (who just might be the nicest guy in the world) told me the Direct TV guy would be coming in like an hour to set up our new dish. So I tried to get as many errands done as possible before he came. Well 2 1/2 hours later then he said he would be there he finally showed up. I opened the door to let him in and OH MY GOSH!!! He smelt like B.O. and cigarettes. I thought I was going to die! So he started to set the dish up and he was talking away... telling me all about his life. Then he just leaves. He didn't tell us how to finish setting the thing up, he didn't say bye or anything. He just stood up and walked out. I was so confused. At first I thought he was coming back.... after a hour of being gone I was like ok... maybe he isn't coming back. But don't worry he left his smell for us to enjoy. Our place smelt for hours after he left! It was so funny when Nick walked into the house he got this disgusted look on his face and he was like, "what is that?" haha.  If his smell wasn't enough thanks to him we didn't have TV or internet for a whole day! I almost died. All my classes are online. So I couldn't get any homework done. We couldn't watch TV so we watched The Mighty Ducks 2. Don't worry our internet and TV is now working, thanks to our awesome landlord. Good times at the Fawcett Home.

Nicks Birthday

Nick turned 24 on Sept 9th. Sadly he had to go to school and study and do all that fun stuff. But I still tried to make it a fun day.
The night before I made some birthday signs. And after he fell asleep I hung them up all over our kitchen. I made him his favorite cake (German Chocolate with pecan and coconut frosting) while he was at school. And then I  cleaned the house all pretty like. Nick LOVES a clean house... he is a little OCD.  For dinner we had some yummy Roys pizza. And then we watched Prison Break (one of our favorite shows). Of course I sang happy birthday to him and then we ate some cake... well he ate the cake I didn't have any I hate that kind. That was basically Nicks big celebration.

Mexico

For our honeymoon we went on a cruise to Mexico. It was the first time I have ever left the country. I must admit I was a little nervous. Mostly I was nervous because its Mexico. You hear all these scary stories of Mexico so... I was scared. The only reason I was okay with going was the fact that Nick knows Spanish. Let me tell you... it helped a lot.

The first few days on the cruise was just relaxing. We slept in.. not caring what times it was. We played a lot of mini golf. We laid out in the sun and got burnt. We ate tons and tons of yummy food. It was awesome. Just what the doctor ordered.

Our first stop was Puerto Vallarta. We went on a tour of the country side. We saw little Taco Stands and Tortilla Factories. It was awesome. We saw the real Mexico with dirt roads. After the tour we went on a real Mexican bus to the Hard Rock Cafe. There is NO WAY I would have gone off on our own if Nick didn't know Spanish. He asked this cute old lady for directions. She was so nice and helped us use the crazy bus. At the Hard Rock we ordered VIRGIN Margaritas. The waiter spoke English and he said ok no alcohol. Yeah I took one little sip... and YUCK! It was alcoholic. Don't worry Nick told the guy and he fixed it. After lunch we headed back to the boat. We took a taxi and the taxi driver was very nice... because Nick spoke Spanish he gave us the Taxi for cheaper. The downside of Nick knowing Spanish people always assumed I knew it too.

Second stop Mazatlan. Nick and I just took a Taxi to downtown and just walked around. It was SO hot that day. I have never been so hot in my life. We walked around the beach. And just hung out.  Before we died of heat we headed back to the boat.

Our final stop was Cabo San Lucas. This was probably my favorite. We had to take tender boats (small taxi like boats) to get to the port. We got there early in the morning and went right to our first adventure.... parasailing. I was sacred... not the fact that we were going to be 600 ft in the sky but because I didn't want to accidentally get dropped in the ocean with sharks and stuff. But it was so much fun. And was so relaxing. After we all went up in the sky they took us to the famous arch. It was sooo pretty. After parasailing Nick and I explored. We walked around the city. We went a bought Mexican pop. It was pretty good. Once again after the heat got to us we headed back to the boat. We got on the tender to take us back and the caption made Nick and me sail back!!! I had peoples lives in my hands. I was scared. Nick loved it.

Then we headed back to the United States. We finished our cruise the way we started it. Mini golf... sleeping... and laying out. All in all it was amazing. I would recommend a cruise to anyone.

The wedding.... August 7,2010

On the way to the temple it didn't hit me.... I am going to get married today. When I saw Nick at the temple it made me so happy... but it didn't hit me yet. We had to fill out papers and stuff. Nick was getting so anxious. We get to our sealing room and the Sealer said, "Are you ready to get married?" And Nick said in a loud voice, "YES". It made me so happy, and thats when it hit me. Before I knew it we were husband and wife. We were about to go outside and see all the family when I see people walking into the temple wet and wind blown hair. I heard someone say,"The wind is going like 100 mph out there." Right away I was bugged. I was thinking this is August! It shouldn't be raining. The wind shouldn't be blowing super hard. We walked outside the temple and Jayme runs up and hugs me. Matthew told me he hated his pink tie. And the madness began. My veil flew off. My dress was flying up. My hair was covering my face. Umbrellas were breaking from the wind. It was so frustrating slash funny slash unforgettable slash perfect. The sky was beautiful.  They pictures really capture the moment. After the temple a couple of went to our place where we watched tv and ate some pizza. Then we headed up to Provo. We got there and I attempted to fix my hair. We got tons of pictures taken thanks to my awesome friend Shantel. We ate a yummy dinner with great company. Then we watched our video and cut the cake. Cutting the cake took a little longer because Nick wouldn't eat the cake because he was laughing so hard. After the cake we just talked and had fun. All in all it was a perfect day!

This picture isn't posed... Nick was keeping the hair out of my face.

Our first trip together was to Vegas in December 2008. We went to the BYU football bowl game, the wax museum, and the strip. It was just an over night trip but it was so much fun!!

We saw moose, bears, and Mount McKinley. I even went fishing and I hate fishing. We stayed in this cute little cabin and it was just so relaxing and so much fun! Everyone should go to Alaska it is so beautiful!!

December 2009 Nick and I went to St.George, The Hoover Dam, The Grand Canyon, and Vegas for New Years. We hung out with Nicks family and Nicks friends. It was so much fun. Vegas was kind of crazy.

Over Spring Break we went to Disneyland for 2 days and a day in Hollywood. It was the most fun I have ever had in Disneyland. We went to the Jay Leno Show. It was so cool to see how they film it and everything.

How we met....

It was one of my first days working at the testing center. This boy came in wanting to take a test... but I couldn't let him take the test because he didn't have ID. He handled it better than I thought he would. Later in the day he came back with his ID and I let him take his test. Well.... from that day on this boy came in a few times a week to take tests. I would be the one that helped him every time he came in. We would talk a little (small talk). I would go home and tell my sister about testing center boy. One day I was walking on campus and I see testing center boy. We started to talk and he got my number. We started to text right away... I come to find out he called me testing center girl.  And a year and a half latter or so testing center boy finally asked me to marry him.
