wrist update:

Maybe you remember this post about my gross wrist? Well when me and Nick moved it only made my wrist worse. By worse I mean... it had never been that bad before. It was terriable. I couldn't move my fingers, pick things up, I couldn't do ANYTHING without not only my wrist hurting but my whole arm hurting. I would wake up in the middle of the night in so much pain!

Enough was enough. I finally got my MRI. I was so scared about getting a MRI. I heard so many scary things. But it wasn't that bad. It lasted maybe 45 minutes. The hardest part was staying still. I didn't mind the noise or being in the small space. About a week after I got the MRI the doctor called and told me I need surgery.

He told me there are two masses growing in my wrist. Unfortunately because of their locations they can't get both at once. But they would be getting rid of the one that they believe is causing all these problems. So I set up a day for surgery. It was hard trying to find a good day. He only does surgeries on Thursdays, Nick works most Thursdays. So we scheduled the the surgery Thursday the 7th. Nick still worked that day but we scheduled it  as early as possible so he could still be at the hospital.

Well... Thursday the 7th came. I really wasn't scared, which is weird. I thought I would be so nervous. The nurse came in gave me the IV. And nope still wasn't nervous. They started to roll me away to the operating room and I wasn't nervous. The last thing I remember was them putting the mask/ oxygen thing on my face.

The next thing I remember I woke up coughing in the recovery room. I had a huge wrap cast thing on my arm. Nick came in. He was just what I wanted to see. The doctor came in and told me: they had to like move my tendons around to get to the "mass". Then they cut it out and had to "scrape" it away ( so gross). Then they had to cauterize the tendon that was leaking that was causing all these things to grow in my wrist. Then my mom and Kiersten came in. After a couple hours hanging out at the hospital they let me go home.

We got home and Nick went to work. My mom and dad and Kiersten babysat me. I wasn't allowed to be home alone for 24 hours. It was probably I good thing. I was so dizzy. I almost fell down a few times. I couldn't sleep very well the first night. The cast thing kept getting in my way. But I pretty much spent the next few days sleeping away in bed. It was amazing.

But we have the best family ever! The first night my parents got us dinner, some groceries, and my pain meds. The next morning my dad made us breakfast. Nicks mom brought us dinner one night and so did Andy and Jenny. Did I mention how awesome Nick has been? Helping me wrap up my cast thing to shower. Opening bottles, DVD's, drinks etc. Doing everything for me I can't do with one hand. Like seriously how blessed am I?

Well thats the story... boring... but thats my life. Now pictures anyone?

In-laws

I am so lucky that I married into such a great family. I hear stories about my friends in-laws and I feel bad for them. I can't imagine having in-laws I don't get along with. Nick comes from a small family. But they are all so close. His cousins are more like siblings and I love that.  They always make me laugh. And I know we can always count on them for anything.

Last week Nicks grandma came to town so those that could make it went out to dinner. It was fun as always. The food was yummy and the company wasn't that bad either. And yes, we were the annoying people that stayed past closing time. Oh well. I can't wait for our next get together.

Weekend Fun.

Kiersten is leaving on her mission soon. I am real sad about this. I miss her already. Fist Levi and now her?! The Cragun home is going to be so lonely. Anyway, Kiersten came up and spent a few days with me and Nick for one more party before she leaves.

Thursday: I got off work to have Kiersten and Nick waiting for me. We went to dinner at the Olive Garden. We pigged out. We ended up bringing our whole meal home because we ate too much salad and bread sticks. After the Olive Garden we went to the mall. We went to a bunch of different stores just looked around. Then we went off to Cold Stone. I love Ice Cream. Needless to stay we were full. We got home and what do we see. Nick had a huge hole in his pants. When I say huge I mean huge!! Nick said he heard his pants rip on our way to the mall but he thought it was just a little hole because his pants were way old. Me and Kiersten were laughing our heads off. Nick said he noticed people staring at him. We also played Phase 10 and watched Netflix.

Friday: Nick and Kiersten met me for lunch at one of my favorite places... Chick-fil-a. After lunch I went back to work. Nick and Kiersten went to Les Miserables. They said they were the only ones there that were not retired. When I got off work we just hung out and watched about 7 hours worth of How I Meet Your Mother. Thank you Netflix.  We ended up going to bed at like 2 in the morning.

Saturday: I went with Kiersten to a appointment she had in Provo. Then we met up with Stacie and Sam at the Cheesecake Factory. I love Cheesecake. It was fun getting us all together. After lunch we went to hangout with Nick before he had work. Then for dinner we went to Cafe Rio. I learned a lot on  this trip to Cafe Rio. I learned to trust myself more. I thought I knew where Cafe Rio was but I second guessed myself. So I put it in the GPS. The GPS was taking us all over Salt Lake. To a Cafe Rio miles and miles away from my house. Eventually we got it right. And it was right where I thought it was. ha. Once we got home we put in Boy Meets World. I didn't last very long. I was asleep fast.

Sunday: We woke up and hurried to church. Came home and Kiersten had to pack up and leave. Nick and I were sad to see her go. When she left it really started to hit me. This is the last time Kiersten and I will be able to have Netflix marathons and spend days together for a couple of years. When she gets back who knows where Nick and I will be. I am really going to miss her.
